The Carmarthen Showground is looking ahead to one of its busiest year's on record with new and exisiting events moving to the venue from other locations in Wales.
The Welsh Game Fair, Volksfest Wales and the Orllwyn Teifi Vintage Show are all well established annual events whose orgainsiers have chosen to move to the Showground for practical purposes.
Amoing the new events being held at the Showground in 2012 are the Welsh National Wedding Fair and the Wales Strongman event.

The Welsh Dairy Show continued its tradition of supporting agriculture in the community with a donation of £250 from the proceeds of a succesful annual dinner.
County chairman, Hefin Jones, recieved the cheque from Dairy Show President, David Davies.

One of the stalwarts of the Welsh Dairy Show, Roy Davies, Henfwlch Road, Carmarthen has been presented with a commemorative plate following his retirement from the Show committee after 23 years.
“ Roy has been there from the beginning and was instrumental in putting the show on a stable financial footing through sponsorship. Everyone has valued and appreciated his commitment to the show and to the other events organised by the United Counties Agricultural Society,” said Show chairman, Lynn Davies.
